Food Bank for Larimer County

Founded in 1984, the Food Bank for Larimer County provides over 5 million
pounds of donated and surplus food from the food industry, government
commodities, food drives and other sources to disadvantaged Larimer
If you choose to participate in this project, please wear closed-toe shoes and dress warmly as you will be working in the warehouse.
Lee Martinez Park, Fort Collins
Lee Martinez Park, named after the long time resident and community leader Librado (Lee) Martinez, was first established in 1973. By 1985, the first stage of construction was complete, the ball fields had been built, and the Poudre Trail was created along the Poudre River. Today, the park also includes a playground, picnic area, basketball and tennis courts, and a farm.
If you choose to volunteer for this service project, you will have the opportunity to clean up the park and farm.

Project Angel Heart is dedicated to promoting the health, dignity and self-sufficiency of people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-threatening illnesses by providing nutritious, home-delivered meals with care and compassion. IN its 16 years of service, Project Angel Heart has provided over 2 million meals of love to residents in the Denver and Colorado Springs areas.
If you choose to volunteer for this service project, you will have the opportunity to write and decorate cards for residents receiving meals from Project Heart.

Since 1977, Safe House Denver has been dedicated to eliminating domestic violence in our communities by providing shelter and counseling to victims of abuse; working with public and community agencies to improve the way our systems respond to domestic violence; and offering educational programming to prevent future violence. Safe House Denver is the only shelter in Denver that exclusively serves victims of domestic violence. In addition to the 340 women and children served in a typical year, Safe House Denver provides support to hundreds more women and children via individual counseling, advocacy support groups, legal assistance and referrals.
If you choose to volunteer for this service project, you will most likely help cleanup and paint rooms in the Safe House Denver facility.
Hearts for Horses
Hearts for Horses is a therapeutic riding center dedicated to promoting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being of people with special needs through equine assisted therapy in a fun and safe environment. What was originally a mobile program serving only 64 individuals in 1998, Hearts for Horses has since established a 23-acre ranch and now serves over 200 people. Hearts for Horses provides weekly riding classes, hippotherapy, equine assisted psychotherapy, and Hospice Bereavement Camp for Children.
